<p>Seriously &#8211; this is diet food?  Sooooo yummy and perfect for a lazy Sunday breakfast.</p>
<p>Well, today was weigh in day again and I was very excited to see one whole kilo has fallen off.  Yep, after the last two weeks losing just over half a kilo, and then going out for yum cha and a movie (which always includes a frozen coke!) on the weekend I wasn&#8217;t sure what I was going to see.  So seeing 1kg having dropped off was great!  Not too much further and I will be down to my pre-pregnancy weight (maybe next week?).  Even though I was overweight when I got pregnant, it&#8217;s all these little milestones that make things manageable.</p>
<p>Being Week 4, I&#8217;m also supposed to take my measurements and see what I&#8217;ve lost there.  I think that one will be quite interesting as I already know I&#8217;ve lost a lot of excess baby belly and I seem to be shrinking in most other places too.  I&#8217;m currently wearing a pair of shorts that I couldn&#8217;t do the button up on 4 weeks ago!</p>

<p>Can&#8217;t believe I made it!  It&#8217;s been one hell of a week &#8211; fitting in exercise, meal preparation, keeping up with some other mums on the program, looking after my 3 month old daughter, taking the photos and writing the posts for this blog, doing a 4 week photography course (silly timing on my part!).  I&#8217;m tired just thinking about it!  But, I know it will all be worth it and I&#8217;m loving the feeling of having some goals to work towards while being a stay at home mum.</p>
<p>The exercise was HARD!  Having done almost no exercise while pregnant, and certainly none since our baby arrived, this has been a huge shock to my whole body.  It doesn&#8217;t help that I&#8217;m heavier than I&#8217;ve ever been before, which also makes it a lot more effort than it has been before.  But on the other hand, I feel fantastic!  I feel like I&#8217;ve already achieved something and if I can get through this first week then I can definitely do the rest of them.  I know the exercises will get more intense, harder and faster, but just getting the body moving and knowing that I can do it is the hardest part I reckon.</p>
<p>Yes, that photo at the top was breakfast this morning &#8211; how good is that!  I love my eggs all mixed up with the yolk broken and messy.</p>

<p>Seriously?  We have a weigh in on the morning of the 3rd day &#8211; that&#8217;s only 2 days of calorie controled diet and exercise.  But you know what, I reckon I&#8217;ve lost a bit.  Wow!  My start weight for this program was 81.7kg, and 3 months ago, just before my little girl showed up I was somewhere around 93kg.  And now here I am at 80.6!  I&#8217;m very pleased with that, talk about quick results.</p>
<p>Oh, and the berry bruschetta above for breakfast &#8211; looks fabulous but unfortunately I wasn&#8217;t a fan, the ricotta is a bit too bitter for me.  Maybe I can mix in a smidge of honey or something to sweeten it up because otherwise this is one delicious looking and filling way to start the day.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>First day of the <a href="http://www.12wbt.com">Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation </a>(12wbt)! I&#8217;m a stay at home mum to a randomly sleeping 3 month old, so fitting in the exercise is going to be a bit challenging to say the least, however I managed to get it all done today AND stick to the meal plan so I have high hopes.</p>
<p>This blog will track my progress and most posts will also have photos &#8211; mostly of the food, what&#8217;s not to like about tasty, healthy and delicious looking food &#8211; but also locations I exercise at and other random, hopefully related, bits and pieces.  I will be looking at my progress, how I&#8217;m coping with it all, my goals, my rewards (yes I already have the first one lined up!) and any setbacks. I&#8217;m hoping that by tracking things here as well it will help keep me on track and motivated to finish the 12 weeks succesfully and continue with the good habits I will learn over the time.</p>
<p>So to start, here is a shot of this mornings breakfast &#8211; natural muesli with grated apple.</p>
